There are lot of changes going now and then in the policies and TOC’s of Adsense program and it is becoming harder and harder to get an Adsense account approved in the first go. Even I had to wait almost 4 years and 5 rejections from Adsense team before I actually ended up in getting one. They have also recently rolled out a post in their Adsense official blog on April 18, 2013 regarding changes in Terms and conditions. So if you do not want to be a victim of the above mail you need to consider few things before you apply for Adsense. One thing I want to say is getting an approval is not hard at the same time not so easy. Google doesn’t give any hints or they dislike to reveal on what basis they approve a blog or a site only thing they give are the conditions. Some are lucky enough to get an approval the very first time of applying. Read the below article to get an idea on the checklist before you apply for an Adsense account.



1. Domain Name:

This is mandatory and I suggest you to buy a (dot) com domain instead of org, net, in, asia or whatever extension it is. Its not that you won’t get approved with those extensions but probability is more for (dot) com. Do not choose a domain name which contains words like crack, hack or any sort of adult terminology. Though you find people using Adsense in few sites which contain hack in their domain name, you should understand that they did not get adsense approved for that domain. Even if they did get approved, the content of the blog might not be of hacking. For people who want to apply for an account in India and China should apply only when their site is 6 months old. If you are a blogspot user do consider buying a domain before you apply for Adsense.


2. Traffic:

Do you have a decent traffic from search engines, I mean at least 1000 unique page views or 300 to 400 unique visitors per day, sometimes even though you have good traffic you are rejected. But to be on the safe side see that you get at least more than 300 unique visitors and majority from search engines. If you don’t have any traffic from search engines then drop the idea of applying for Adsense.


3. Content:

Yes, this is were many bloggers struggle. They have to create unique content before they apply for Adsense program. If you are having content which is copied from other blog’s then don’t even imagine to get approved. Your blog should not contain any copyrighted stuff. You can’t give links for downloading movies, eBooks or any of such sort. Your blog should also contain safe content which doesn’t harm the society or in simple term children friendly. You can’t even apply for an account when you write in your regional language there are only few languages which Google supports for Adsense program. You could read more in Google’s AdSense program policies.


4. Number of Posts and their length:

You need to have at least 50+ posts and the numbers vary. Sometimes even if you have 300 posts they won’t accept you and sometimes even if you have 10 posts they give a green signal. To be on the safe side you need to have 50 to 70 blog posts. The very next doubt you get in your mind is the optimum post length. A blog should usually contain articles but not tweets you can go on writing a line in a post and publish. If you have 50 articles with few words you have done a mistake again. You need to have useful articles with more than 800+ words. See that your site or blog has more content than the ads you place. In simple words the content ratio of your website should be more than the ads ratio you place.


5. Design:
You need to have a clean and good design. There is no need to go for a paid theme or framework. The blog should be user friendly with easy to navigate links. You need to have a properly organized navigation bar with links pointing to the exact keywords or labels you placed. If you have messed up with your design then consider fixing it before you actually apply.


6. Fill some missing elements:

Long back Google used to approve few sites even though they had some missing elements. But now it is not the case you need to have an about me page (As they are stressing more on Google plus+ profiles), contact us page and most important privacy policy. If you not having any of these pages then try to create them. Make sure you use your original name in the about me page so that the name in the adsense account and about me page will match.


7. Age and program Policies:

User should be 18 years or above in order to participate in the Adsense publisher program. They should strictly follow the Program policies posed by Adsense. Some of the program policies include, you should not encourage users to click on your ads or you should not click on your own ads. You should not generate traffic by some easy means like click through sites or auto surf sites(Google hates paid traffic). You should not alter the HTML code of the ad unit. You should not place their code in popup windows, Facebook or send your code in emails.


Final Checklist before you apply for Adsense:


Active blog or website with a domain name. (Preferably .com and 6 months old in case of Indian and Chinese publishers)
Good traffic from various sources at least 1000 unique page views (Majority should be from search engines)
You should be 18 years old.
You should have more than 50 quality articles (articles should contain more than 800+ words and no harmful content)
No Copyrighted Stuff (Avoid posting download links of movies, software’s, eBooks etc)
Clean and good design with easy to navigate links. (User friendly)
Do not use other network ads till you get an approval from Adsense.
Check that your site complies with their policies and Terms and Conditions. Also consider reading a beginner’s guide on Adsense Policies before you apply.

If your blog or website satisfies the above conditions then without looking back or wasting a minute go for applying one. If you have been rejected earlier concentrate on the cause of rejection. Get Android 4.2.2 On Your PC In 10 Steps

Did you know that you could run Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2 software on your actual PC? Learn2crack has made an easy tutorial which allows users to install the mobile operating system on your PC and tweak it, install apps and do basically whatever you want with it. Please note though that proceeding to do this is at your own risk.

First of all you would have to download some pieces of software which you will use. The first piece of software we must install is Oracle VM VirtualBox, and the second piece of software you must download is the Android 4.2 JellyBean iso file


Steps to installing Android JellyBean

Now to start installing Jelly Bean you have to install VirtualBox on your computer then open it and select "new". Enter any name that you want to use, then after this select the type as Linux, and the version as "other linux". Upon completion of this, select next.

In the next dialogue box, enter the memory size of your choice. You should be mindful of the fact though, that Android JellyBean requires at least 512MB of memory to run, so you might want to use a little bit more but it is your choice of course. Once you have done this select next.

In the next dialogue box you will see a place where it will allow you to create a virtual hard drive. Select this option, then choose VDI. After this you can decide whether you want it to be fixed or dynamically allocated, according to your preferences of course. You should also take note here that I minimum of 1 GB is needed for installation.

The next step after this is to select a virtual device and then choose settings. A dialogue box will soon appear upon which you will go to storage and proceed to storage tree and proceed to empty. In the attributes part, choose the JellyBean iso file we downloaded earlier, then check Live CD/DVD. Proceed to clicking OK after this.

After doing this you need to start the virtual device and then choose the option on install Android x86 to hard drive.

On the screen after this, you want to choose where it says Create/Modfiy partitions. After this you want to then create a new primary bootable partition and then select where it says write. After the writing is complete you will then quit.

The next step is to install Android in sda and select type and ext3, choose yes for instaling grub.

After all this is done you then want to remove live iso from the virtual box and proceed to reboot. After this you can boot into Android JellyBean 4.2.2

How to Root Nexus 4 [Windows/Mac OSX/Linux/Ubuntu]

For those of you who want to root your Nexus 4 Android smartphone, here’s a step-by-step tutorial showing you how to root a Nexus 4 on Windows, Linux/Ubuntu, or Mac OSX computer.

This works for all Android versions including Android 4.2.1 and 4.2.2.

This rooting guide will allow you to also backup and restore your apps/settings.

Before we begin, please BACK UP EVERYTHING on your internal storage of Nexus 4 to your hard disk (you can do this by connecting it to your computer via USB cable or use AirDroid app).

This zip package contains everything you need including drivers for Windows and rooting files for all Windows, Mac, and Linux. Please download and unzip.

Download Nexus4Root.zip

Step 1.
Go to Settings->About Phone on your Nexus 4.

Step 2.
Hit the “Build Number” couple times until your phone says, “You are now a developer”. Hit the back button.

Step 3.
You will now see extra menu called “Developer options”, hit it.

Step 4.
Make sure Developer options is ON and USB debugging is also checked then connect a micro-USB cable from your Nexus 4 to your computer.

Step 5.
For Windows, you will need to install drivers. If you have Linux/Ubuntu or Mac OSX, skip to Step 7.

Step 6.
Open Device Manager on your computer and update the Nexus 4 with exclamation mark with drivers provided in Nexus4Root.zip.

If you see something like “Android ADB Interface” you are ready for the next step.

Step 7.
Open a command prompt (or terminal for Linux/Ubuntu or Mac) and type:

For Windows:
cd Downloads
cd Nexus4Root
adb backup -apk -all -f backup.ab

For Linux/Ubuntu:
sudo -i
cd /home/UserName/Downloads/Nexus4Root
chmod 755 *
./adb-linux backup -apk -all -f backup.ab

For Mac OSX:
cd Downloads
cd Nexus4Root
chmod 755 *
./adb-mac backup -apk -all -f backup.ab

Step 8.
Go to your phone and you should see a Pop-up window asking you if you want to backup your data, hit “Back up my data”. This will backup all of your settings, apps, app data, wifi passwords, etc…etc… It will NOT BACKUP contents of your internal storage such as your personal videos/photos (you should have done that before following this guide!!!).

Step 9.
Once backup is done, go ahead and turn your Nexus 4 power off. Then hold down the Volume Down and Power buttons together for about 5 seconds.

Step 10.
Once in bootloader menu, connect a micro-USB cable from your Nexus 4 to your computer.

Step 11.
Open up Device Manager again, if you don’t see “Android ADB Interface” you will have to install drivers again. Repeat Step 5 to install drivers. For Ubuntu/Linux or Mac OSX, skip to Step 12, no drivers required!

Step 12.
Next go back to command prompt/terminal and type:

For Windows:
adb oem unlock

For Linux/Ubuntu:
./adb-linux oem unlock

For Mac OSX:
./adb-mac oem unlock

Step 13.
Go to your Nexus 4, hit the Volume Up button to select “Yes” and hit the Power button. Then hit the Power button again to re-boot your phone

Step 14.
Once re-booted, your Nexus 4 will be like the day you got it, everything wiped and starting from scratch. Go ahead and sign in.

Step 15.
Connect your Nexus 4 to your computer and copy the file CWM-SuperSU-v0.99.zip to anywhere on your Nexus 4.

If you have trouble on Mac OSX connecting to your Nexus 4, download and install Android File Transfer.
Also, if you have more trouble, you can download this file with your Nexus 4′s browser at DownloadAndroidROM.com. (It will be saved in your Downloads folder btw.)

Step 16.
Re-boot into the bootloader like you did in Step 9 and connect a micro-USB cable from your Nexus 4 to your computer.

Step 17.
Go back to your command prompt/terminal and type:

For Windows:
fastboot flash recovery recovery-clockwork-touch-6.0.2.3-mako.img

For Linux/Ubuntu:
./fastboot-linux flash recovery recovery-clockwork-touch-6.0.2.3-mako.img

For Mac/OSX:
./fastboot-mac flash recovery recovery-clockwork-touch-6.0.2.3-mako.img

Step 18.
Go back to your Nexus 4, choose “Recovery mode” using Volume buttons and hit the Power button.

Step 19.
Once in ClockworkMod(CWM) Recovery, choose “install zip from sdcard”.

Step 20.
Next, choose “choose zip from sdcard”.

Step 21.
Choose “0/”.

Step 22.
Choose “CWM-SuperSU-v0.99.zip” and hit “Yes”. This is the actual rooting file, which included su binaries and SuperSU app, giving your phone root. This is the only part of this tutorial that actually roots your Nexus 4. We only did all the other steps to unlock the bootloader and install CWM Recovery which allows us to install this file on our phone.

Step 23.
Choose “Reboot” from the main menu, if you see the following screen, make sure to choose “Yes – Disable recovery flash”. This is so you will have permanent CWM recovery as stock Android operating system overwrites it on re-boot if you don’t say yes here.

Step 24.
Once rebooted you should find an extra app in the app drawer called “SuperSU”. Congratulations! You’ve successfully rooted your Nexus 4! You can download rooted apps like Titanium Backup app (which I highly recommend you to run once) and verify you have full root.

Step 25.
Now, let’s try to restore some of your settings, apps, and app data. If you did make a backup of your internal storage before you started rooting, go ahead and copy all your files back into Nexus 4 internal storage.

Next, go back to command prompt/terminal and type:

For Windows:
adb restore backup.ab

For Linux/Ubuntu:
./adb-linux restore backup.ab

For Mac OSX:
./adb-mac restore backup.ab

Once that’s done, you should find your Nexus 4 fully restore with all of your settings, apps, app data, and your photos/videos plus rooted phone. Congrats!

2. You need to install ABD drivers on your Windows PC. Get the drivers from here.

3. Windows 8 users follow this guide to change the settings before installing the drivers mentioned above.

follow the steps :


1. You need to increase screen timeout to 10 mins : Settings >> Display >> Sleep >> 10 mins
2. Enable USB Debugging mode : Settings >> Developer options >> Enable and Settings >> Developer    options >> USB Debugging (check the option)
3. Enable install from “unknown sources” option : Settings >> Security >> Unknown source (check the option)
4. Save the rooting tool kit (.zip file) mentioned above in C drive (C:\) and Extract it there itself.
5. Quit applications like PC Suite, PC Companion, Flashtool, etc. as they will interfere with the rooting process.
6. Now Connect your phone to PC and run “runme.bat” file from the extracted folder (step 4)
7. Wait for few seconds till you get the option “press the button to restore the data in your phone”
8. Now do not down your Phone screen, it will start an App automatically and Select Restore data.
9. You will see the message “if Restoring data is complete” in command prompt
10. Now open your phone and dial this number *#*#7378423#*#*
11. Select the option “Service tests” in your phone operation
12. Now select the option “Display”. Now the screen will turn white and few commands will be executed automatically.
13. Now press the power button to turn off screen, wait for few seconds and press it again (repeat it a few times) and keep observing the command prompt for outputs
14. Finally you will see the messages like “transfer files to your phone part2“, “installing busybox,su,Superuser,etc…” & finally “Cleaning up“
15. Now your phone will automatically restart.

How to root the Samsung Galaxy S4 ...

Rooting your device is basically like gaining administrative rights on a PC. You're able to install custom firmware, remove unwanted bloatware applications and generally get a little more hands on with the core functionality of the phone. For seasoned Android veterans, rooting is practically the first thing they do when they take a new phone out of its packaging, but if you're a novice, then you might want to exercise a little caution.

As with any process which involves tampering with your phone's firmware, rooting your device can have negative as well as positive consequences. Although it's unlikely, you could end up with a bricked and unresponsive handset -- so consider yourself warned. You'll also void your warranty.

Another thing to note is that this guide relates to the GT-i9505 with the Snapdragon 600 chipset, and not the octo-core variant. This process will also not work with S4 handsets which have the a software baseband ending in MDM. You can find out your baseband reference by going to Settings > More > About Phone.

And finally, this guide assumes you're using Windows 7 on your PC.

With that out of the way, let's get on with the rooting, shall we?


1. Back up your phone


Although this process won't wipe any data from your phone, it's always prudent to make sure you've backed up any precious data before proceeding. CNET UK cannot be held responsible for any damage or data loss you may suffer as a result of following this guide.

2. Download Motochopper


This is the application which performs the rooting process. Although it's been developed for Motorola devices -- hence the title -- it works on certain Qualcomm-based phones, too. You can Download it from here. Once you've done that, extract the files.

3: Switch on USB debugging


To perform this step, you'll need to activate your S4's developer menu if you haven't done so already. Navigate to Settings > More > About Phone. Scroll down to Build Number and tap it seven times. This will enable the Developer Options menu, which you can find in the More area of the Setting menu. Navigate there and then tick the USB Debugging box. Next, plug your phone into your PC using your standard micro-USB cable. You'll have to wait for Windows to install the necessary drivers.

4: Fire up Motochopper


Locate the Motochopper files you extracted earlier and double click the 'Run' executable. You'll see a screen like the one below:

5: Follow the on-screen prompts


Press enter to root your device. Your Galaxy S4 should pop a notification message up -- simply tap 'OK' to proceed with the rooting process. If you don't see a message, just double check that you've got the latest Samsung drivers and that USB debugging is definitely switched on.

Samsung Galaxy Grand has 8GB internal memory but out of which only 4 GB is user memory. That means this is the space that is allotted for your apps. But is 4GB not enough for apps, provided you have most of your no-app data in external SD CARD?

The other day I got asked by a friend that he was not able to move apps to SD CARD. We both are Samsung Galaxy Grand users. I used to be able to move apps to SD CARD in my previous phone on Ginger-bread. So I was surprised as I haven't tried that yet. He is no longer able to install apps due to lack of space! When I checked his phone, he had lots of music, pictures from camera and some videos in his phone. Those were not on his external SD card.

But there are people out there looking or asking how to move apps to SD CARD. Well, this feature that we used to see in GingerBread is not available on SOME Ice Cream Sandwich (For example, HTC EVO Lite can), and JellyBeans.

• If you are in a situation like that, move those music and other non-app files such as videos, to external SD CARD instead. There will be lots of space for apps.

• If an SD CARD is added, the camera automatically starts using the SD CARD to save your pictures and videos.

• But if you added an SD CARD only later, then you must have a folder called "Camera" containing pics and videos taken before that. So they are still saved in your phone's internal memory. You may want to move those to your SD CARD to make more space if you need.

• If you plan to install apps which are in gigs each then yup!, that is gonna be a tight situation.

There are explanations in Android Forums about the advantage of not moving to SD CARD. For example, you installed apps and moved to SD CARD and your SD CARD gets lost or corrupted. Then you have broken / missing apps. Also slow apps etc. And it is true. How to unlist an Android device from Google Play?

If you have had a few Android devices with the same Google Account, you must have observed that when you find an app to install, it presents you your previous devices as well, which you may no longer be using any more.

As in the above illustration, I no longer use the ZTE BLADE but it is still shown.

To Remove an unused Android Device on Google Play account, do the following -

• Log in to Google Play Account

• Scroll down to the bottom of the page > My Orders & Settings link

• Click Edit

• Uncheck "Shown in menus" corresponding to the device you want to hide.

• Click Update

Now you should not see the old device when you are looking for a new app to install.

Note: The above steps only hides device and does not remove a device's association with Google Account.

Samsung Galaxy Grand - Drivers fails to install when connecting USB to PC !

I am not sure if others are also facing the same but every time I connect my Samsung Galaxy Grand (GT-19082) to my PC ( running 32-bit Windows XP Service Pack 3), it prompts me to search and install drivers but it can't find one. I don't have this problem on my other Windows 8 64-bit laptop.

Now on the Windows XP, I connected Grand via USB by choosing USB option as USB Media Device (MTP). It prompts me to search and install drivers but it can't find any. Looking at the device manager shows -

When you connect a USB you get USB options
in notification - MTP (as Media Device) or PTP (as Camera Device).

When I choose PTP (as Camera ), the device manager shows that it detects some.
 On Windows Explorer , only the phone's internal memory is accessible.

I still get a prompt to install some drivers...Still it is not able to install driver for GT-I9082.

So the disguise works only in the home screen. Besides if the attempt is to disguise an explicit app with a screaming logo, ignore this app! It's not gonna work ...lol

SEARCH MANUFACTURER's WEBSITE FOR DRIVERS OF THE LAST WINDWOS OS:
If you do not have a backup, go online to the manufacturer's website, download driver that was working on your previous Windows OS. Usually, your manufacturer would not be offering a driver for the same laptop with the new Windows 8. So find one for the last Windows OS you had and Install it.

I don't prefer to do this personally because my GMail has many other contacts that I don't need on my phone. It looks clumsy and messed up to see so many contacts that I won't even use. Likewise, you may have other accounts linked such as Whatapps, Facebook etc. And they too have contact sync options. So you can choose what to display in your contacts and what not to.

Choosing your contacts display in the contacts:

• Open contacts on your phone
• Press the MENU > Contacts Display Option

Select what to display as per your requirement

• You will see various options and accounts to sync with.
• You can choose all contacts or choose one. Phone is the simplest. Or if you don't have many then SIM is also fine.

Backup up contacts:

• Your Android phone gives you various options to export/import to/from - SIM, SD Card etc. And if in case your contacts gets lost, you can restore from the backup file.

• In case you lose your phone, your SD Card will also go along with it. So is your SIM card. So better try something else.

• Why not backup to some other storage outside the phone? You can export to SD card and then keep this file on your computer or another storage. That way you can easily restore later.

• Also, when using another phone temporarily, you can export contacts to SD Card, insert the SD Card in that phone, import and start using.

To backup contacts

• Open CONTACTS on your phone > MENU > Import / Export

Choose where to export to

• You can choose to export to SD Card

• On successful export, a ".vcf" or similar file is created. You can then keep a backup of the file elsewhere outside the phone for safe keeping in case of phone loss.

• This can then be used for restoring contacts later. Follow the same steps.
